Sequoyah Public Schools

Parents of school-aged kids living in the Sequoyah Condos get the benefit of attending one of the best school systems in the country. Fairfax County School district is a top rated school system that receives great reviews and awards on a regular basis.

Fairfax County Public School system is a pyramid structure. This means that students living in a particular location are assigned to an Elementary School. Elementary School feeds into a Middle School which feeds into a High School.

Students living in the Condominimum will attend the Mount Vernon High School pyramid. Mount Vernon High School was founded in 1939 and is located less than a mile from George Washington’s home. The school serves grades 9th – 12th.In addition to traditional course offerings, International Baccalaureate (IB) and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP) is also available.

Whitman Middle School feeds into Mount Vernon High School School. The school opened it’s doors in 1961 and is located on Richmond Highway. Students can take advantage of the English for Speakes of Other Languages (ESOL) and Advanced Academics Services.

Students start there journey at Mount Vernon Woods Elementary School. Servicing grades K – 6, this school has several programs to get kids started in the right direction. SMART boards are located in every grade level classroom.
