School Hours

One important thing to consider is the school’s hours of operation. Bull Run’s hours are Monday through Friday are 9:00 to 4:00 for grades K – 6th.

If you need to be at work by 8:30 that could present some challenges for you, especially if you’re commuting to the District or the Pentagon.

If you are unable to get your child signed up for SACC there are a number of private before and after care programs in the area that will drop off and pick up your child.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement has been linked to student achievement. When looking for a school for your kids you’re also looking for a school that’s a good fit for you as well.

The Bull Run PTA supports a number of activities in the community including social events and fundraisers. Each school year the PTA offers a number of fee-based after-school enrichment programs. They vary year to year and range from science focused to athletics and the arts.

The school welcomes parents to set up a time with your child’s teacher to volunteer in the classroom, read a book to the class, or come in to have lunch with your child. Your level of involvement can be as much or as little as you like.
