Declutter and Stage
Once we’ve completed paperwork, we will walk you through your home making suggestions of things to declutter, and how to stage the space for optimal buyer appeal.
Together, we will discuss and decide if we can stage with the furniture you have, or if we need to bring in a staging company.
In my experience, most sellers can get by with simply decluttering and storing excess items with a short-term storage company.
Interstate and JK Moving both offer clutter buster packages will help move and store items while your house is on the market. They may even offer discounted rates if you also contract them for the move after the sale.
If staging is required, we will request several quotes from different companies for the best rate and quality of services.
Staging can cost thousands of dollars and isn’t for every property.
Together we’ll discuss to pros and cons of each option. Higher end homes benefit more from staging than smaller lower priced homes.
After Decluttering and Staging
Once decluttering is finished, and staging is in place, we can schedule our photographer to take listing photos. The quality of these photos is imperative to the success of your sale.
We use a professional photographer because amateur photos can cost you several thousand in your final sales price.
We can provide a list of decluttering tips, but be mindful that we will make a personalized list at the listing appointment.
